Coaching helps you identify goals, craft the scope of a project, and stick to a schedule.

One 60-minute session: $50
Weekly 60-minute counseling and accountability sessions (3 weeks at minimum): $30 per week

Developmental editing offers big-picture feedback on content, structure, and style. It does not address errors or problems with clarity. For academic projects, a developmental edit includes argument assessment.

Estimated pace: 6-8 pages an hour
Rate: $40 per hour

Line editing clarifies writing at the sentence level, with a focus on readability. It is often particularly useful for non-native speakers. While line editing can sometimes overlap with copy editing, it is not necessarily a substitute for copy editing, and it is not at all a replacement for proofreading.

Estimated pace: 2-3 pages an hour
Rate: $50 per hour

Copy editing addresses grammar, syntax, punctuation, and other mechanical issues. It is generally appropriate for manuscripts that have already undergone initial rounds of editing or revision.

Estimated pace: 2-4 pages an hour
Rate: $45 per hour

Proofreading resolves minor errors such as typos or inconsistencies in previously edited works that are near completion.

Estimated pace: 4-6 pages an hour
Rate: $35 per hour

Manuscript preparation ensures compliance with publisher or journal submission requirements.

Estimated pace: 4-6 pages an hour
Rate: $20 per hour

Citation formatting provides in-text and end-of-text citation editing or conversion to any style guide.

Estimated pace: 10 minutes per citation
Rate: $20 per hour
